Junior Athletes Carnival

Junior Carnival
The Gippsland Region would like to extend an invitation to families who have an athlete in Under 6 to Under 8 to join in the fun and excitement of the inaugural Junior Athletes Carnival.

The Carnival will offer the children the opportunity to participate in six events with children of the same age but from all the Centres within the Gippsland Region.
The events being offered on the day will be 50m, 100m, On Track activities, Discus, Shot Put and Long Jump.
Each child participating will be presented with a ribbon at each event and at the conclusion of the Carnival each child will receive a show bag and certificate.

Children are asked to complete the colouring sheet attached and bring it along to the Carnival where a guest judge will choose the best effort from each age group.

Some parental assistance will be required on the day. Parents are asked to indicate their availability on the entry form.
Parent Duty can be viewed here. As with all special events Parents are expected to help.

Date: Saturday 19th February 2011 Time: 9.00am to 12.30pm
Cost: $10.00 per athlete

This is a family day so older children and extended family members are encouraged to join in the fun and support our budding young athletes. Bring along a picnic lunch and stay to watch athletes in Under 9-15 compete in the Gippsland Region Track and Field Championships.

The entry form and payment should be returned to your Centre Secretary by Monday 18th December 2010.
