Venue Information
Eligibility For Registration
The Centre registers with the LAVic Inc. those children who have reached the age of five (5) and are under the age of sixteen (16), including those who have their fifth or fifteenth birthdays in the period between the 1st day of October and the 30th day of September the following year. Note that children cannot be registered prior to turning five (5).
Refund Policy
Athletes considering joining Casey Little Athletics centre are entitled to 2 free “Trial Days. This only applies to athletes that have never been registered with Casey LAC before. Families of children who register and who have not competed in any competition within 4 weeks of their registration, may be entitled to have their fees refunded upon written request subject to approval of the committee. Children who have registered and have commenced attending competition will not be eligible for any refund.
Weather Information
On any days that competition is cancelled due to bad weather, Casey LAC will be offering a Cross Country Program. It is expected to take 30 minutes. Athletes need to meet at the track at 9.00 am.
Playgrounds
Casey Little Athletics Centre would like to advise that the playgrounds are outside the venue and are not supervised by the Centre. Parents or Guardians must supervise children playing on the equipment.

Casey LAC would like to thank all of our local businesses that have supported us by paying to advertise in this book. Without their support, we would not have been able to purchase some much-needed equipment and supplies. Please show your support by frequenting as many of these businesses as you can and don’t forget to tell them where you saw their ad.
Pavilion
Please note for safety reasons children are not permitted to be in the equipment storage area on competition day.
Newsletters
Centre Newsletters will be published on this website and can be obtained at the Centre on a regular basis to keep competitors up to date with what is happening at the Centre. If you want to place an article in the newsletter, please give it to the Secretary. Please check the noticeboard for upcoming Region/State events and Open Days. Newsletters and entry forms for Region/State events will be available in the Club rooms.
Lost Property
All lost property will be stored in the small room next to the canteen. It is your responsibility to check for lost property.Hire Of Equipment

Centre Records
A decision was made by the 2002/2003 Committee to adopt all Berwick Village Little Athletics’ Club records as the Centre Records for Casey. Some of those Records were broken by our athletes last year and have been updated accordingly. All other Berwick Village Little Athletics Club Records, some of which have stood for 14 years will continue to stand until broken by Casey LAC athletes.Certificates & Trophies
All athletes who break a record during this season’s competition will be presented with a certificate on presentation day unless they are the current record holder in which case they will be awarded a certificate and a trophy.Star Awards
Star Awards are offered to athletes as an incentive to reach the set benchmarks in each Age Group. Stars are awarded according to the guidelines outlined on this site. Our athletes’ performances are recorded on a weekly basis. Star Awards will be available from each Age Group Manager. Thanks to Berwick Physiotherapy for sponsoring our Star Awards.Dogs And Bicycles
The presence of dogs and the riding of bicycles, or the use of skateboards or scooters within the boundaries of the Athletics Complex during training and competition periods are forbidden.Smoking & Alcohol
The Centre has a NO SMOKING and NO ALCOHOL policy inside the Athletics Complex during the conduct of any Little Athletics competition; your observance of this policy would be appreciated. Smokers are required to be at least 50m from the arena.
Equipment Set Up & Pack Up
When on duty you will be required to carry out tasks related to the conduct of the program this may require moving of equipment during the program. At the end of the program, those on duty will be responsible for the return of all equipment to the equipment room for checking and packing away. Any damage and shortages noticed are to be reported to the Equipment Officer. Ensure that the ground is left in a neat and tidy condition. All clothing and other items are to be brought to the lost property box inside the small room next to the canteen.Please note: that when you are on duty, your attendance is required for the entire program. It is extremely difficult to find replacements at short notice.
Insurance
All registered athletes are covered by the LAVic insurance policy. Further information can be obtained from the Centre Secretary at the Office.Sharps (Syringes)
All persons are requested to immediately report any syringes sighted inside the competition venue so that they may be safely removed. Reports should be made to either St John's or any member of the Centre Executive. The St John Ambulance first aid van / tent is normally located on the Centre arena behind the high jump shed. Horizontal Jump officials should also be mindful that these objects might be buried in the jump pits.
UNIFORM
Normal Competition Days
Casey T-shirt - Light Blue with dark blue sleeves, age group tag attached to the front, IGA sew on patch must be placed on the back of the shirt approximately 5cm from the neck in the centre of the shirt. Blue shorts and footwear (runners or spikes).Region and State Competition Days
Casey orange and white singlet with logo, name and number. Blue shorts or briefs with Casey logo and centre number must be worn.
Shorts shall be no longer the 100mm above the knee measured when kneeling.
Uniform for Region & State events
Region & State events require that Casey Centre Uniforms are worn, these can be purchased from the Centre.Handbook Information
