Fees
The registration fee which
covers insurance with LAV is as follows:-
| Number of children | 2010/2011 fees | |
| One child | $130 | |
| Two children | $250 | |
| Three children | $370 | |
| Four children | $440 | |
| Five children | $510 | |
| Six children | $580 |
If
the annual fee of $130 is broken down over the 21 week program
season, it works out to cost $6.20 per week, and is comparable
to many other sports and activities.
Included
within your fees is the levy to ensure that St
John Ambulance is available on each
competition day to deal with any injury or
medical emergency that may arise.

All
registered Athletes are expected to wear the Casey
LAC uniform each
week. This is a light blue t-shirt with dark blue
sleeves and collar, and the Casey LAC logo printed
on the front and dark blue
shorts that are above the knee in length. The t-shirts cost
about $20 each. For parents who have purchased t-shirts

Registration
Tags
All registered Athletes are issued with a Registration tag on the
Registration Day, that shows their name, age
group and registration number, as well as the LAVic sponsors for
the current season. All athletes must wear their
registration tag each week on the Casey LAC uniform.
The registration tag can be sewn on, attached with pins or velcro
dots. New athletes are given
a weeks grace regarding the registration tag. If a replacement tag
is required families will be charged $5.00 per new tag. Athletes
will not be permitted to compete
if they do not have their registration
tag.

Sponsors
Casey
LAC would like to thank all of our local businesses that have supported
us through advertising in the handbook. Without their support, we
would not have been able to purchase some much-needed equipment and
supplies. Please show your support by frequenting as many of these
businesses as you can and don’t forget to tell them where you saw
their ad. If they feel that are getting value for their advertising
dollar they will be keen to advertise again next year
Newsletters,
Star Awards and other Bits & Pieces
All
Star Awards
badges, notices and printed newsletters,
etc. will be available from your Age Group Manager or at the Club
rooms. It is the responsibility
of each family to check with their childs Age Group Manager so that
important
information is not missed.
Duty
Roster
Every
week we need over 110 parent ‘volunteers’ to assist with running
the events and to ensure our children are provided with a fantastic
athletics program. Therefore as a parent of an athlete in Little
Athletics, it is essential that you assist on competition days to
ensure the smooth and efficient running of the program. A member
of each family is required to fulfil their parent
duty at least once
a month. If you are not able to make this commitment then maybe
this is not a sport for your family.
Permanent position
Permanent
positions are those which you do every week, ie. You must be available
each week to be given one of these positions or you can make arrangements
for someone to cover for you, should you not be able to attend one
week.
Weekly sign on
For
parents who are unable to commit to a permanent position, then we
have a Duty Roster. You
are expected to help with 6 centre day rosters which includes a championship
day roster.
Come to the Officials’ table next to the main pavilion gate at
least 15 minutes before the advertised start time. Have your name
ticked off by your Age Group Co-ordinator or Cameron Skeggs the Chief
of Officials. We
have Education Officers and a supportive Committee available to ‘teach
you the ropes’ this season so come along to our Introduction
Clinic for Parents.
Not Sure??
Some
parents might be a bit shy or not sure of what is required to be
a volunteer. If this is the case then please let us know and we can
offer training and support for those of you who are not sure what
each position involves.
