Mentone LAC Relays
All relay athletes are reminded that the Mentone Invitation Relay Day runs 9:30am –5.00pm Sunday, 28th November 2010 at Mentone Little Athletics Centre, Dolamore Reserve, Queens Street, Mentone.

Athletes need to marshall at the Casey Tent at 9.00am for the first event to be run at
9:30am.
Age group managers are responsible to ensure that all team members are available for each event.

Uniforms

Athletes must be in full centre uniform (note that this is NOT the normal Saturday blue t/shirt.)

Cost
Entry is free for athletes and children under 15, however other spectators are $5 per person.

Parking
Note message on parking from Mentone: parking is limited to the surrounding side streets. There is a small parking area behind the tennis club, but this is reserved for the tennis club and will be roped off. While we have some very supportive neighbours, we also have some that are not. Please stress to your parents that if they park across driveways in any way, even a few inches, complaints will be made to the council by our “not so supportive” neighbours and the inspectors will be around – none of us need that sort of expense for a day out. Similarly for those parking on the track side of Queen St beware if your car encroaches over the footpath.




The lane draws will be posted on the windows of the clubroom.

We will be publishing heat results and times at the same time as displaying the lane draws for the finals.

There are a number of events that are listed as heats and finals. At time of marshalling, if these events do not have sufficient runners to justify heats, then they will be run as straight finals AT HEAT TIME. Please note marshalling is 15 minutes before the schedule start time of the event. We will not be holding back races or paging centres if teams are not at marshalling. Our first event is listed for 10:00am start, please make sure your charges are AT marshalling at 9:45.

Entry is $5 each, athletes and children under 15 admitted free. Every paying person admitted receives a ticket for the raffles which will be drawn during the course of the afternoon. If you wish to purchase extra tickets you may do so. Full bar-b-que, canteen and coffee vending facilities will be available. For those that love an ice cream even Mr Whippy will be parked inside the Queen St gates. Athletes foot will also been in attendance.

Something you need to stress to ALL your athletes, is they must be in full centre uniform. We aim for a fun day.

No protests will be allowed.
