State Track & Field Championships - 2010

Parent Duties

4th Dec 2009
All families of competing athletes are required to perform a duty at the State track and field competition, note we will include one athlete from each family to reduce the size of the list.

On Saturday March 13th and Sunday March 14th Duty time requirements will be posted in the recording building for all parents of competing athletes to review and sign off for their duties at a time which suits them.

This will be available to families to sign off from 8am to 9am and from 12pm to 1pm each day. Please see Cameron Skeggs at these times.

It will be a simple case of each and every family nominating to perform a duty either in the morning or the afternoon session of the weekend, as such there are 4 session to choose from. A maximum of 11 families per session is allowed so its first come first served.
It is suggested you check your child’s event(s) to the VLAA State Championships time table and arrange your duty times accordingly.

On the days of competition at Olympic park all duties will be known and instructions will be available to parents for duties.
Unfortunately it is not possible to advise duties earlier as our experience in previous years is that the details are not available from VLAA until one week prior to competition.

On the day parents (not athletes) are to register at the Casey area in the Grandstand for duty 15 minutes prior to the appointed time.

Any families who do not perform duties or fail to show on the day will be letting the whole Casey Group down as it means someone has to fill their place and perform extra duties.

There will be a draw of all parents names who perform full duties at state and a prize pack will be given to the winning family at AGM.
